budget friendly nursery inspiration

Hey hey! So we're in full baby prep mode around here...between stroller comparison shopping, working full-time, and me just wanting to sleep, this little blog has been put temporarily on the back burner...But, I thought I would share a bit of budget friendly nursery decor inspiration! I may or may not have already done/purchased some of the ideas/products shown in the collage! ;)
Budget Friendly Nursery InspirationBudget friendly tips:
*Hang free artwork in thrifted frames spray painted the same color for a cohesive look. Feed Your Soul: the free art project has a bunch of whimsical prints that would be perfect in a nursery! The site On to Baby has a cute Initial print that you can customize and print - for free!
*IKEA sells cute cribs at really reasonable prices. The one pictured above is the Hensvick
*Cute accent lamps can be found in a variety of places, this cute owl one is from the Happy Chic collection by Jonathan Adler at JC Penney. OR, thrift a lamp and redo the shade with fabric that coordinates with your nursery scheme/colors!
*add stripes to basic white curtains for a punch of color! IKEA (again..I love that place) sells a pair of white curtains (98.5 inches long) for $9.99!
*Get a cute changing pad cover. This lovely gray print one is from Target.
*If you're short on space, use a dresser as a changing table. Buying an ordinary dresser but then changing out the knobs gives it a custom look for less! (Pictured: Hemnes 3 drawer chest)
*This idea is all over the internet, but I love it -use inexpensive spice racks as bookshelves (Bekvam spice racks from Ikea: $3.99 each). Displaying books with the cover out makes it easy for little ones to see titles/cover illustrations...and when books are displayed this way they also serve as pretty wall art!
*Make a DIY bunting banner out of pretty scrapbook paper and hang along a wall of the nursery. This is especially useful if you want to add color but can't paint your walls!

What budget friendly ways do you/did you decorate a nursery?! :)
