floral print pants

These cropped floral pants have become a new favorite for me! I mean, who doesn't love a pair of floral pants?! I kept the look fairly simple and paired the pants with a classic ivory button down blouse, my new-to-me thrifted Gianni Bini heels, and a thrifted clutch! Easy-peasy! Happy thrifted thursday!

blue & gray day

Today was rainy, and a bit gloomy. What do I do to combat cold and cloudy weather blues? Put on my brightest blue pair of skinny jeans and this thrifted sweater with cheery citrine colored stripes of course! Happy Thrifted Thursday!

refashioned floral top

I found this pretty pink and green floral blouse at the thrift store a while back, complete with puffy sleeves and shoulder pads! (here's a before pic) I decided to cut off the sleeves, take in the sides a bit, and make a fabric tie (out of the sleeve fabric) that can either be worn as a bow around the collar (because I love bows) or cinched around the waist when wearing the shirt un-tucked! TC and I received a gift card from his family so we went out to dinner last night to celebrate Valentine's day one day early. It was nice because the restaurant wasn't crowded, the weather was beautiful...and we had time for outfit pics. A success in my book! Happy Valentine's day!! :)

polka dots & denim

I still can't get over how warm it is here in Texas during the winter. It's early February but really feels more like springtime. I love it here! I'm sure I'll be biting my words when summer rolls around and I'm dripping sweat while posing for outfit pics! ;) Here I paired this black and white casual knit polka dot dress with a thrifted denim jacket, a chunky green/teal beaded necklace, sheer black tights, and my favorite booties (again)! sweater vest re-wear

This sweater vest is one piece of clothing that I get a lot of wear out of in the fall and winter months! Here I've paired it with my new favorite geometric print top, a thrifted skirt, and my favorite gold sparkly polka dot tights! (here's how I wore this vest back when my blog was new) Happy thrifted thursday a day late! ;)

simply striped

I found this black and white striped dress at my favorite thrift store recently and was automatically drawn to it because of the stripes! - I love stripes! The only problem was that it was a maternity dress and so not my size! (You can see the before picture here) But, nothing that slimming up the sleeves and taking in the sides can't fix. Now it's a perfect fit and super comfortable too! I paired it with my plum colored tights, cognac boots, and a floral scarf. It was pretty chilly and threatening rain so I wore my new DKNY trench coat (scored on sale from Macy's with Christmas cash!) to stay warm! Happy Thrifted Thursday!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas! We sure did! It was even a white Christmas here in Texas! By now all the snow has pretty much melted, but the temperatures are still chilly so I'm bundling up in my coziest knits! I love this loose and comfy sweater and paired with my over-the-knee socks. casual + comfy

Is it December? Really? It sure doesn't feel like it here! I keep wanting to layer on my cozy sweaters and winter tights, but this 70-80 degree weather would make that a silly decision! Here is what I wear when the weather can't make up it's mind..and apparently neither can my outfit! Short sleeves and a thrifted puffer vest...leggings with short booties! :) This outfit is the perfect blend of comfortable and casual in my book! Happy Thrifted Thursday!
