A few weeks ago we celebrated Jensen's second birthday! (last year's 1st birthday party!) I can't even believe that it has been two whole years! She is now a full blown toddler! She's forming sentences, loves to work puzzles, and color and draw! Her favorite food is grilled cheese and she loves oranges! She's expressing interest in the potty as well! I really wanted to throw her a small, nutcracker ballet themed birthday party and since she has a December birthday it worked out perfectly! The color scheme was ballet pink, and red with pops of silver and gold! Super girly and fun and Jensen had a blast dancing and performing for all the guests! We're so blessed to have so many people that love her!! Happy second birthday baby girl! It's such a joy to be your mama and I so look forward to what this year will bring!

Food Details:
I made a spice cake (from a box) with yummy cream cheese frosting and had my first attempt at piping ruffles! The cupcakes were regular white cake with buttercream frosting tinted 4 varying shades of pink! I also had a cracker and cheese plate, ranch-bacon-cheddar pinwheels, cashews in gold cupcake liners, pretzel sticks covered with pink tinted white chocolate, and pink lemonade! I also made snowflake sugar cookies with royal icing that I packaged up in snowflake cellophane bags that the guests took home with them!
Decoration Details:
The nutcrackers, decorative trees, silver candles, glitter snowflakes, and pink poinsettias were from Joann's.  The lace garland I made from strips of vintage lace trim that I thrifted years ago from Goodwill. I got a huge plastic bag of varying shades of the lace trim for like 50 cents! I simply picked all the pink, red, and cream/white hued trim out in the bag and cut in strips and tied it to a long string to form the garland! The backdrop hanging from the mantle is the same one I used last year for her 1st birthday, I just cut off the aqua colored lace fabric and sewed on red for this year! I cut snowflakes from coffee filters and stuck them to the wall above the mantle. The three red bows in the decor were from Target. The gold candle sticks are all thrifted items I had on hand. The small, silver star shaped votive candle holders are from At Home. I made the "TWO" banner from scrapbook paper and the cranberry red garland with half circles was also made from scrapbook paper. The Nutcracker Ballet book was also displayed on the food table! At the party, my dad read the book out loud to the children (and anyone else who wanted to listen!). I designed the party invitation myself.
