blue & gray day

Today was rainy, and a bit gloomy. What do I do to combat cold and cloudy weather blues? Put on my brightest blue pair of skinny jeans and this thrifted sweater with cheery citrine colored stripes of course! Happy Thrifted Thursday!

Hello there! Happy thrifted Thursday! This caramel striped sweater is one I've had in my closet for a while. When I first thrifted it, it had a horrendous mock turtle neck collar and was super baggy in the sleeve region (you can see the before and after pics in this post), but now it's much more wearable and the neutral colors make it really versatile! Here I've paired it with my deep purple animal print skinny jeans, my favorite black booties, and some pretty jewels.

sweater, skirt, & sparkle

These past few days it has been cool enough here in TX to wear a sweater...but still warm enough in the afternoon that I can bare my legs (pasty, white legs) without freezing! Weird weather. I recently paired this thrifted houndstooth skirt with a mint sweater (also thrifted) and added some gold glitter platform pumps for some sparkle!

coral and cream

that title just reminded me of those Creme Savers hard candies...I used to really like the strawberry ones..in fact, my shirt even kind of looks like one! Anyway..I found this lightweight, striped sweater at...you guessed it, Goodwill! And it's even my favorite color! The weather has been just beautiful lately, with the dogwood trees in full bloom and the sun a-shining! I'm headed to my  home-state Illinois today...and all I have to say is that it better not snow there, I'm already in spring mode! And plus..I want to wear this floral frock I recently made! Happy thrifted Thursday!

snow and a fur-collared-sweater!

It snowed! In Arkansas! I generally don't like cold weather, but I think snow is so pretty, and I've especially missed seeing it since moving from IL to Arkansas. It's hilarious seeing people's reactions to the snow down here...and it doesn't take much for 'snow days' to be declared. Though the snow didn't stick around very long at all, I still enjoyed it's brief appearance! :)
