blue & gray day

Today was rainy, and a bit gloomy. What do I do to combat cold and cloudy weather blues? Put on my brightest blue pair of skinny jeans and this thrifted sweater with cheery citrine colored stripes of course! Happy Thrifted Thursday!

Hello there! Happy thrifted Thursday! This caramel striped sweater is one I've had in my closet for a while. When I first thrifted it, it had a horrendous mock turtle neck collar and was super baggy in the sleeve region (you can see the before and after pics in this post), but now it's much more wearable and the neutral colors make it really versatile! Here I've paired it with my deep purple animal print skinny jeans, my favorite black booties, and some pretty jewels.

favorite fuchsia blazer

Hello, hello! Does it feel like fall where you're at? I am just itching to start wearing sweaters, boots, and tights! Unfortunately, it is still pretty warm here..so I had to make do with this lightweight fuchsia blazer which has become a fast favorite ever since I thrifted it a while back! I paired it with a black ruffle blouse, black skinnies, and black pumps (also thrifted)! Happy Thrifted Thursday! :)

feeling teal {how to wear DIY}

After altering these teal/aqua pants into skinnies several weeks back (see here for tutorial) I have been wearing them nonstop, they are so comfortable! The denim is not very stretchy so they don't bag out and not fit at the end of the day like jeans sometimes do, and the fit at the waist is perfect! Never have I had a pair of pants fit that well at the waist without altering them! Oh and did I mention they were thrifted?! :) I kept my whole outfit pretty simple and paired the pants with a black ruffle blouse, black floral wedges, and my new fedora hat!

Hey all! Happy thrifted Thursday! Instead of an outfit post, I'm going to share how I quickly turned some thrifted straight leg pants into skinny (though a bit more slim-leg than skinny  because that's my personal preference) jeans! It was super easy and you can do it too! Here's how!

Hello! Hope your week is going swell! I recently got back from my weekend visit to my home-state Illinois (I wrote about it here) and while it was tons of fun..it's always nice to get back home and to sleep in your own bed! I've settled back into my routine of work and school! This is what I wore while bridesmaid dress shopping in IL for my friend's upcoming wedding..my blouse and cute clutch are actually IL thrift store finds! The boat necked blouse is white with mauve stripes! I paired it with my black lace blazer (also seen here), black skinny jeans, and gray booties!
