We had a very
merry Christmas this year! Although I sorely
missed going to the big Christmas celebration on my dad's side of the family due to work obligations, I was so
grateful that my parents were able to visit us a couple of weekends ago for an early Christmas
celebration! We walked amongst the pretty
lights on
Harding University's campus
(see TC's pictures of the lights here and here), took family pictures in the university's decked out hotel lobby, enjoyed
yummy food, ate too many desserts (of course!), shared our gifts with one another, and just
enjoyed each others' company! I also baked my very first
pecan pie! :) Now that Christmas is over I feel a little deflated, everything seems so
drab compared to the bright Christmas lights, the red, green, gold, and silver
decorations, and the
smiles and "Merry Christmas" wishes we receive from complete strangers...is this just me or does everyone feel this way after Christmas?...this is also why my tree is still
up...the pretty lights are so warm and cozy that I'm just not ready to take them down! TC and I are pretty
excited about our upcoming trip to visit his parents in
Atlanta! We have big plans to visit the aquarium and World of Coke! I'm sure this will ward off my
post-christmas blues! ;)
Hope everyone had a
wonderful Christmas and enjoyed time spent with
family and
friends!
