Drop waist dresses. At first I didn't really like this style, but after seeing cute ones all over the place I'm determined to DIY one! We'll see how that turns out... until then, check out these chic ones I found around the web! :)

stripes and a punch of red
I wear this striped shirt all of the time, seriously. It can be worn so many different ways! I wanted to change it up a bit while adding a punch of color so I tied a thin, red scarf around the collar (inspired by my post here)! I raided the scarf out of my mom's closet while visiting earlier this summer...hand-me-downs are so much better than thrifting anyway because they're free! :) I paired this top with grey, distressed skinny jeans, my favorite black booties, and a swipe of red lipstick!

sweater, skirt, & sparkle
These past few days it has been cool enough here in TX to wear a sweater...but still warm enough in the afternoon that I can bare my legs (pasty, white legs) without freezing! Weird weather. I recently paired this thrifted houndstooth skirt with a mint sweater (also thrifted) and added some gold glitter platform pumps for some sparkle!
